Product Features
- Silver Alloy Contacts (Ag/Ni): Provides low contact resistance, high conductivity, and consistent switching performance across the rated life of the block.
- 10-Million Cycle Mechanical Durability: Rated for 10,000,000 mechanical operations — suited to high-cycle applications including automated production lines and frequently operated operator stations.
- Front Mounting with Stackable Design: Mounts directly to the front of compatible XB4 and XB5 operator bodies. Multiple contact blocks can be stacked in sequence on a single operator to add further switching outputs without increasing panel footprint.
- Wide Operating Temperature Range: Rated for operation and storage from −40°C to +70°C, suitable for demanding industrial environments including outdoor and unheated enclosures.
- Screw Clamp Terminals: Accepts wire from 0.22 mm² to 1.5 mm² with or without cable end ferrules, conforming to IEC 60947-1. Terminals are clearly marked NO 3/4.
- Broad Certification Coverage: Carries UL, CSA, CCC, DNV, BV, LROS, and GOST certifications — suitable for panel builds requiring marine (DNV, BV, LROS), North American (UL, CSA), Chinese (CCC), and Russian (GOST) compliance.
- 18-Month Schneider Electric Warranty: Backed by the manufacturer’s contractual warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the ZBE101 and the ZB2-BE101?
These are two different contact blocks for two different Telemecanique pushbutton series. The ZBE101 is for XB4 and XB5 series 22mm operators (the current Harmony range). The ZB2-BE101 is for XB2 series operators (an older, smaller format). Both are 1 N.O. contact blocks and look similar, but they are not interchangeable. Check the part number on your pushbutton body — if it begins with XB4 or XB5, you need the ZBE101. If it begins with XB2, you need the ZB2-BE101.
What is the rated operational current of the ZBE101?
The ZBE101 has a conventional free air thermal current [Ith] of 10A. However, the rated operational current [Ie] depends on circuit type and voltage: for AC-15 circuits it is 6A at 120V, 3A at 240V, and 1.2A at 600V. For DC-13 circuits it is 0.55A at 125V, 0.27A at 250V, and 0.1A at 600V. See the full rated current table above. Always size protection and wiring to the [Ie] figure for your specific voltage and circuit type, not the [Ith] thermal current.
Which pushbuttons and operator bodies is the ZBE101 compatible with?
The ZBE101 is compatible with all operators in the Schneider Electric / Telemecanique Harmony XB4 and XB5 22mm range, including flush pushbuttons (XB4BA, XB5AA), extended pushbuttons (XB4BC, XB5AC), 2-position and 3-position selector switches (XB4BD, XB5AD), and mushroom head pushbuttons (XB4BT, XB5AT). See the compatibility table above for a full list. If your operator part number is not listed, call us at 1-800-222-5129 to confirm before ordering.
Can I fit more than one contact block to a single pushbutton?
Yes — XB4 and XB5 operators support stacking of multiple contact blocks in sequence on the front of the operator body. This allows you to combine N.O. and N.C. contacts (for example, pairing a ZBE101 with a ZBE102) on a single pushbutton for applications requiring multiple switching outputs. The maximum number of blocks that can be stacked depends on the operator type — refer to the electrical composition codes in the Schneider Electric Harmony XB4/XB5 catalogue for your specific combination.
What does "1 N.O." mean, and when do I need N.C. instead?
N.O. (normally open) means the contact circuit is open (no current flows) when the pushbutton is at rest, and closes (current flows) when the button is pressed. This is the standard configuration for start circuits and PLC run signals. N.C. (normally closed) is the opposite — the circuit is closed at rest and opens when pressed, which is standard for stop circuits and safety interlocks. If you need a 1 N.C. contact block for the same XB4/XB5 series, see the ZBE102.
Does the ZBE101 carry marine or international certifications?
Yes — in addition to UL and CSA for North American applications and CCC for China, the ZBE101 carries DNV, Bureau Veritas (BV), and LROS (Lloyd’s Register of Shipping) certification for marine panel applications, and GOST certification for Russian compliance. This makes it suitable for a wide range of international panel build specifications beyond the standard IEC and NEMA requirements.
Is the ZBE101 in stock for same-day shipping?
Yes — the ZBE101 is a regularly stocked item at Kent Electrical Supply’s warehouse in Emmaus, PA. Orders placed before 4:00 PM EST ship the same business day. Current stock quantity is shown on this page. Kent sells the ZBE101 as individual units — the Schneider Electric manufacturer minimum pack quantity of 5 does not apply to orders placed here.
