Product Description
Eaton XTPR025DC1 manual motor protector is adjustable from 16-25 AMPS, has a rotary ON/OFF manual disconnect, CLASS 10 adjustable bi-metallic overload relay and mounts on standard 35mm DIN rail. This 12 AMP motor starter has a short circuit release of 350 AMPS and is rated for 7.5 H.P. @ 230 volt and 20 H.P. @ 460 volt 3 phase (please note this is only for reference, and all XTPR's should be sized according to the FLA of the motor that requires protection).
The XTPR025DC1 can be used in one of four different types of applications, depending on need:
- This device can be used as a motor protective circuit breaker for thermal protection in motor branch circuits. This classification is often times found in European machines that find their way to North America.
- This device can be used as a manual motor protector for manual starting and stopping of motors. For this purpose they are commonly installed into enclosures as stand alone units.
- The device can be used in individual branch motor installations as part of a UL508 Type E combination motor starters with four elements: overload protection and disconnect along with a motor controller and short circuit protection
- Finally this device can be used in group motor installations which eliminates the need for separate fuses or circuit breakers ahead of this manual motor protector
