Product Description
The XTOB line of IEC motor thermal overload relays provides an efficient motor protection solution, available up to 16A. These units can be directly mounted to the contactor or mounted separately with an optional separate mount bracket. They are rated for Class 10 protection, which will trip the unit and cut power to the coil of the contactor within 10 seconds or less in an overload condition. This level of motor protection ensures the safety of both the equipment that it is protecting and for the operators of the unit. In addition, this thermal overload comes with a trip-free release, which will prevent the device from being held closed in the event of an overload. With the option of manual or automatic reset, the operator can choose how they want to handle an over-amperage condition. Obviously a manual reset would require an operator to reset the unit while an automatic reset will restart the starter once the temperate on the main contacts has cooled to a safe level.
