Eaton XTCE050D XT IEC Contactor — 50A, 3-Pole, D-Frame
The Eaton XTCE050D is a 50A, 3-pole IEC contactor from Eaton’s XT series (also known as the Moeller DILM50). Rated at 40 HP at 460V three-phase (50A AC-3 / 80A AC-1), the XTCE050D is designed for non-reversing motor control and resistive or inductive load switching in industrial applications. The base XTCE050D has no built-in auxiliary contacts — up to 6 can be added via plug-in top-mount and side-mount blocks. The coil voltage is selected by part number suffix — see the table below. The coil is field-replaceable without special tools, a key advantage of the XT series design.

- Field-Replaceable Coil: The XTCE050D coil can be replaced in the field without special tools — remove two screws from the base, separate the contactor top from the base, release four plastic tabs, and swap in the new coil. Replacement coils are stocked by Kent Electrical Supply: XTCERENCOILDA (110/120V) and XTCERENCOILDB (220/240V). The XTCE040D, XTCE050D, and XTCE065D all use the same D-frame replacement coils.
- No Built-In Auxiliary Contacts: The base XTCE050D ships with no auxiliary contacts (0 NO / 0 NC). Up to 6 auxiliary contacts can be added via plug-in accessories: a 4-pole top-mounted block and a 2-pole side-mounted block. Configure exactly the signalling circuits your application requires.
- Plug-In Accessory System: Auxiliary contact blocks, overload relays, and other accessories snap directly onto the XTCE050D frame without additional wiring or adapters. The XTOB series thermal overload relay mounts directly to the load-side terminals (T1-T2-T3) for integrated Class 10 motor protection.
