Product Description
WEG CWM18 IEC Contactor — 18A, 3-Pole, 10 HP @ 460V
The WEG CWM18 is an 18A, 3-pole IEC contactor rated at 10 HP at 460V three-phase (18A AC-3). It is the authorized replacement for the obsolete GE CL02A310T series, sharing identical dimensions and electrical ratings. The CWM18 includes 1 Normally Open (NO) base-mounted auxiliary contact standard. The compatible overload is the WEG RW27-1D3 series (0.28–23A), direct-mount to load terminals T1-T2-T3. Note: if upgrading from a GE CL02A310T that had a GE RT1 overload relay attached, the RT1 cannot be reused — see the FAQ below. The WEG CWB18 is the current-production successor to the CWM18 and is also stocked by Kent Electrical Supply.

Product Features
- 10 HP at 460V — Authorized GE CL02 Replacement: The CWM18 is dimensionally and electrically identical to the obsolete GE CL02A310T series. Multiple GE CL02 catalog number variants are covered — see the coil variant table above for specific WEG-to-GE mappings. Kent also maintains a dedicated GE CL02A310T to CWM18 comparison page.
- 1 NO Auxiliary Contact Standard: The CWM18 ships with 1 Normally Open (NO) base-mounted auxiliary contact standard. Up to 4 additional auxiliary contacts can be added via front-mount BCXMF blocks or side-mount BCXML blocks for expanded control circuit capability.
- RT1 Overload Relay Incompatibility — Important for GE Replacements: If your GE CL02A310T installation included a GE RT1 series overload relay, that overload cannot be reused on the CWM18. The RT1 mounting footprint is incompatible. Replace with a WEG RW27-1D3 series overload, which direct-mounts to the CWM18 T1-T2-T3 load terminals and covers the same current range (0.28–23A). The CL02’s auxiliary contact blocks are compatible and can be reused.
- RW27-1D3 Overload Relay (0.28–23A): The WEG RW27-1D3 series mounts directly to the CWM18 T1-T2-T3 load terminals. Multiple current adjustment ranges are available to match your motor’s full-load amperage. Select a range at checkout via the overload relay dropdown, or order separately at /rw27-1d/.
- CWB18 — Current Generation Successor: WEG has introduced the CWB18 as the current-production successor to the CWM18 series, with identical 18A AC-3 / 10 HP @ 460V ratings. The CWB18 is recommended for new panel builds. Kent Electrical Supply stocks both.
- Wide Coil Voltage Range: Available with 24V, 120V, 208–240V, 277V, 480V, and 600V AC coil options as well as an electronic coil variant (CWM18-10E). Use the coil code suffix to identify the correct variant for your control voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions
What GE contactor does the CWM18 replace?
The WEG CWM18 is the authorized replacement for the obsolete GE CL02A310T series, identical in dimensions and electrical ratings. Specific mappings by coil voltage: GE CL02A310TJ (120V) → CWM18-10-30V18; GE CL02A310T7 (240V) → CWM18-10-30V24; GE CL02A310TN (277V) → CWM18-10-30V37; GE CL02A310T1 (24V) → CWM18-10-30V04. See the full table above or Kent’s GE CL02A310T to CWM18 comparison guide.
Can I reuse my GE RT1 overload relay on the CWM18?
No — the GE RT1 series overload relay is not compatible with the WEG CWM18 mounting interface. When upgrading from a GE CL02A310T, the RT1 overload must be replaced with a WEG RW27-1D3 series overload relay, which direct-mounts to the CWM18 T1-T2-T3 load terminals and covers the full 0.28–23A range. Note: the auxiliary contact blocks from the GE CL02 are compatible and can typically be reused on the CWM18.
What is the difference between the CWM18 and the CWB18?
The CWB18 is WEG’s current-production successor to the CWM18, sharing the same 18A AC-3 rating and 10 HP at 460V. WEG introduced the CWB series as the next-generation replacement for the CWM series. The CWB18 is recommended for new installations and panel builds. The CWM18 remains available and stocked at Kent Electrical Supply for replacement orders on existing equipment.
What auxiliary contacts are included with the CWM18?
The standard CWM18 includes 1 Normally Open (NO) base-mounted auxiliary contact (BCXMF10). Up to 4 additional auxiliary contact blocks can be added via front-mount BCXMF10 (1 NO), BCXMF01 (1 NC), or side-mount BCXML11 (1 NO + 1 NC) blocks. These are available as add-on options at checkout.
I need a CWM18 with a 277V coil. Is that available?
Yes — the CWM18-10-30V37 has a 240V AC (50Hz) / 277V AC (60Hz) coil and is the WEG replacement for the GE CL02A310TN. This variant is available at its own product page linked above. For 600V applications, order the CWM18-10-30V56. Call Kent at 1-800-222-5129 if you need assistance confirming the right coil voltage.
Does the CWM18 qualify for same-day shipping?
Yes — in-stock CWM18 variants ship same business day from Kent Electrical Supply’s warehouse in Emmaus, PA when ordered before 4:00 PM EST. For RW27-1D3 overload relays, auxiliary blocks, bulk orders, or specialty coil voltages (277V, 600V), call us at 1-800-222-5129 or text your RFQ to 484-425-0652.
