Product Description
This Siemens kit is a replacement for the Benshaw RSC-100, RSC-125 or RSC-150 contactors that are found in Trane Chillers as part of a reversing set (with shorting contactor). Each contactor is rated for 150 AMPS and 125 H.P. @ 460 volt 3-phase. The Siemens Trane replacement kit for Benshaw contactors includes the following:
- 2 pieces Siemens 3RT 150 AMP contactor with 2 side mounted auxiliaries, each with 1 N.O. and 1 N.C. contact set
- 1 piece mechanical interlock that connects the two contactors
- 1 piece shorting bar for line side of right contactor
- 1 piece box terminal for load side of left contactor
Physically this kit will fit into the existing space of the two interlocked Benshaw contactors (see dimensions in image above), though new mounting holes will need to be drilled. Installation is as simple as unbolting the old wires, removing the existing RSC contactors, installing the new Siemens 3RT contactors and bolting the wires back on.
